Jiaju Ma is a Ph.D. student in the Computer Science department at Stanford University, advised by Maneesh Agrawala. His research interests lie in building creativity support tools that assist users throughout the design process. His work is supported by the Brown Institute for Media Innovation, the HAI-HPI Program on AI and HCI, and the Sony Stanford Graduate Fellowship. His work has been recognized with the Best Paper award at UIST and the Best Paper Honorable Mention award at CHI.

Jiaju interned at Google DeepMind in 2024, mentored by Peggy Chi as well as Irfan Essa. He was also a two-time research intern at Adobe Research and worked closely with Li-Yi Wei and Rubaiat Habib Kazi.

Previously, Jiaju graduated from the Brown | RISD Dual Degree program with a B.S. in Computer Science, advised by Jeff Huang, and a B.F.A. in Industrial Design, advised by Leslie Fontana. He has been a product design intern at Facebook AI, LinkedIn, Deeplearning.ai, and Learnable.ai.
